Angelica Ross has shared a video apparently alleging Emma Roberts was transphobic towards her when the pair starred together in American Horror Story.
The actress, 42, who is trans, starred alongside Emma, 32, in the 2019 AHS series titled 1984.
She has now released a video in which she claims a ‘Miss E R’ made the set unwelcoming and purposely misgendered her during her time on the show, saying she was afraid to speak up as another person who complained about her actions ‘faced repercussions.’
While Angelica does not directly name Emma in the allegations, outlets including TMZ speculate the Wild Child actress is the person at the centre of the allegations.
She told followers on an Instagram Live that she and Emma were talking when Emma called a man on set and said ‘Angelica’s being mean,’ clarifying she was ‘not being for real’ but just messing around.
They were told: ‘Okay ladies, that’s enough, get back to work.’
To which Emma allegedly looked at Angelica and responded: ‘Don’t you mean lady?’
Angelica said she was ‘trying to process’ what happened as Emma moved away, adding her ‘blood was boiling.’
She worried if she said something ‘it’s going to be me that’s the problem,’ claiming someone else on the set previously ‘spoke up about what [Emma] was doing and they got repercussions from it.’
Angelica went on to claim that although she and ‘Miss E R’ had scenes together, she ‘didn’t speak to that b**** the entire time after that.’
It comes after Angelica called out AHS showrunner Ryan Murphy for allegedly ghosting her after pitching an all-Black, female-ed season.
This week the actress tweeted emails allegedly sent by the director that suggested he was interested in an all-Black season of AHS, saying he was ‘doing it’ and would ‘start a writers’ room in the fall.’
The Glee writer listed actresses Keke Palmer and Gabourey Sidibe as potential co-stars. However, in a separate TikTok, Ross said Murphy ultimately ghosted her after she sent a follow-up email in February of that year.
Emma is currently starring in the newest season of AHS, titled Delicate, alongside Kim Kardashian in her acting debut.
