A familiar face from Emmerdale past makes a welcome return to soapland – John Middleton, better known as Ashley the vicar, is playing quite the different character when he joins the cast of Hollyoaks as prison top dog Froggy Black.
Over in EastEnders there’s devastation for Patrick Trueman (Rudolph Walker) when he falls unconscious. Little does he realise, Oscar Branning (Pierre Moullier) is responsible!
Coronation Street, meanwhile, sees fresh drama for Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) on her wedding day, and in Emmerdale, Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson) continues to question his sexuality.
On Ramsay Street, Neighbours favourite Byron Stone bids farewell to Melbourne as he heads off on his travels – with an exciting new role lined up for actor Xavier Molyneux in the wake of his exit.

EastEnders
1. Mike demands £5k out of Oscar in exchange for his family’s safety, so he turns to desperate measures to get it – stealing Patrick’s winnings from the bookies. After being caught red-handed, Oscar knocks Patrick unconscious.

2. Ross hears that Joel’s mum is remarrying, and breaks the news to him. Joel steals booze from The Vic before launching verbal attacks on Kat, Stacey and Vicki. Later, Ross finds something horrifying on his son’s laptop and destroys the device.
3. Eve is unconvinced by Suki’s plan, and later she and Avani are forced to lie to Priya when a hospital receipt is found.
4. Cindy is struggling at The Prince Albert, so Elaine hops behind the bar to help out. Later, Cindy makes a surprise offer – she wants her to be co-manager.
5. Callum can’t resist sending Johnny flirty text messages, but when Jay sees, he warns he’s playing with fire…
Emmerdale
6. Dylan is in a bad way following his leg injury and Paddy offers him a room for the night. It later becomes clear that he’s dealing drugs for Ray. Paddy and Marlon recognise him as the lad that Kyle stabbed, and try to persuade Rhona not to tell Moira.

7. John tells Aaron to go easy on Robert. When Robert expresses his desire to leave, Aaron tells him that he’s valued, giving him hope. Moira confronts him over her land, and he later suggests to a suspicious Vic that they farm Annie’s field together.
8. Ruby and Lewis hope that Steph will give her relationship with Ross another go. Once alone, Steph suggests to him that they take things upstairs. After reconciling, Ruby and Lewis ask Manpreet about her love life. Will she admit to her fling with Ross?
9. Charity takes a fall in the woods and declines to tell Sarah, preoccupying herself with engagement party plans for Sarah and Jacob. Later, Charity reveals to Vanessa that she’s been bleeding.
10. Vinny pushes aside his doubts about his sexuality but can’t help but look on at Kammy lustfully. He later confides in Aaron, who instructs him not to tell Gabby. Vinny is conflicted.
Coronation Street
11. Abi meets up with Carl at the hotel, and is shocked to see he’s been conducting illegal MOTs with Fiona. She’s fuming to learn that Kevin was aware of the scam and that her husband has told yet another lie. Later, Kevin is suspicious to find her glammed up when she told him she was feeling unwell. How will she explain herself?

12. When Ryan explains his less than conventional living arrangements, Lisa invites him to live with her and Carla at No. 6. Carla’s deeply touched by her partner’s gesture.
13. Bernie has a low-key hen do and is shocked to hear Dev has gone all out – booking a pole dancer. On the wedding day, Bernie encounters a burglar, is upstaged by Debbie proposing to Ronnie and then is rushed to hospital after collapsing.
14. Sally and Tim discover that Joanie has old bruises on her arm and feel they have to report it to social services. Kit tries to get to know Brody better, but things don’t quite go to plan.
15. George is pining over Eileen and Glenda encourages him to sign up to a dating app. They’re interrupted by Jenny, who reveals a pipe has burst in The Kabin. She’s thankful when George fixes the problem and offers to cook him dinner – and is disheartened when he reveals that he’s had some success on his app.
Hollyoaks
16. Rex names Clare and DI Banks as joint leaders in the operation, also saying that Grace was complicit in grooming and manipulating the teens. After being watched by undercover police, Clare susses what is happening.
17. Jacob tells Dillon that he’s planning on leaving the village to escape Clare’s clutches. As breaks the news to a heartbroken Frankie, Dillon and Vicky are infuriated by the upset Clare and Grace are still causing.

18. When Clare and Grace are arrested, Tom informs their grandfather Froggy. In the wake of the dramatic events, Jacob decides to stay – but Darren is wary of his relationship with Frankie.
19. Jez asks Liberty to be his partner in the Hollyoaks in Bloom flower show, and John-Paul is still in despair, with Ste confiscating alcohol from him. Sienna is confused as to how Dilly’s DNA could be found on Ian and Dennis, and while trying to track her dad down at the allotment, spots something in the flower bed…
20. Jez can see how much Vicky wants to reunite with Robbie, and in an odd change of character, decides to set him free so that they can have their happily ever after.
Neighbours
21. At Byron’s farewell barbecue, he warns Taye to take care of Sadie, who he later shares a tender farewell with. It’s an emotional day as friends and family gather to wave him off. Later, Taye gives Sadie an ultimatum – all or nothing. After initially thinking he’s joking, she decides to give him a wide berth.
22. When Bowman announces he’s leaving Erinsborough, Holly worries that Andrew won’t be as protective of her anymore. She’s conflicted when Max invites her to move in, and is infuriated by the fact Andrew and Wendy have been intimate for the first time in months. Panicking, she claims that she’s had another run-in with Bowman – before she and Andrew kiss.

23. Paul upsets Nell when he suggests moving The Foundation so he can fill the unit with a pop-up shop. Vengeful, she sabotages a delivery of signage for the Jewellery Expo.
24. Remi extends an olive branch to Cara and the two have dinner together. She’s even open to a trip back to their old haunt – Werribee – in the hope it will bring back memories. Remi’s rattled when Cara misreads the situation and leans in for a kiss.
25. After some wise words from Nell, Terese admits to Paul that she’s unsure about splitting time between Melbourne and New York with him. He reassures her that it’s ok – but asks her to be open with Susan about Eirini Rising’s money issues.
