
A US Army soldier allegedly shot five other soldiers at Fort Stewart base in Georgia.
An ‘active shooter incident’ broke out in the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team complex at 10.46am on Wednesday, stated the Fort Stewart Hunter Army Airfield on Facebook.
A shooter was apprehended at 11.35am.
The suspect is a soldier, a law enforcement official told CNN.

The base was placed under lockdown at 11.04am and first responders treated the wounded soldiers five minutes later.
‘All Soldiers were treated on-site and moved to Winn Army Community Hospital for further treatment,’ stated Fort Stewart airfield.
‘There is no active threat to the community.’
By 12.10pm, the lockdown in the main cantonment area was lifted, but was still in place in the combat team complex.
The incident is under investigation and few details have been released.
President Donald Trump has been briefed on the shooting, according to White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt.
